小果酸模 Rumex

齒果酸模在台灣有另一近似種，未結果時，兩者很難區分。果期則可見本種宿存花被片相對較小-邊緣齒牙少 (0-1)，明顯與齒果之4對齒牙不同。

後記：齒果酸模的內輪宿存花被片每邊有2至4個刺齒，通常是3個，小果酸模是每邊有0至1個短刺齒，而且瘤狀物比較大，但是臺灣的族群有時是0至2個短刺齒，同一朵花的3片內輪宿存花被片不一定會一樣，1至2個短刺有另一個學名叫 Rumex dentatus subsp. nigricans，但是臺灣的族群是介於 Rumex microcarpus 和 Rumex dentatus subsp. nigricans 之間。
